Independent Living Skills (ILS) – 520

Hours: 7am–8pm

Each Consumer is trained according to their ability and also considers their IPP, CDER, Psychological Evaluation, and Independent Hands Assessment. All training and/or support will be provided 1:1 and will follow this order.

  • Explain process
  • Demonstrate process
  • Observe execution by Consumer
  • Report progress

The Activities includes teaching and instruction providing constant monitoring to encourage progress. Especial attention is given to the Consumer’s ability to make decisions and the effects that this may cause in his/her life. The main focus is to allow the Consumer to build his/her self-esteem by making decisions effectively.
