About Independent Steps

Independent Hands Group Inc was founded by Margarita B Sanchez and Laura Lua in September 2006. Initially we mainly provided Independent living skills in the SCLARC, NLACRC and ELARC area. Since then, we have expanded our services to Supported Living Services, Adaptive Skills Training, Adult Development program and Transportation.

We take pride in our staff, which is an extension of the love, and dedication that we have for the people we serve. Each member of our team is an important part of our daily operations and we celebrate the pride they show while serving our Consumers.

Our Management team works diligently in providing our participants with empowering experiences while out in the community such as participating in the Los Angeles community gardening, volunteering at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and more.

Independent Hands continues to support the various activities organized by Fuerza and Suenos y Esperanzas, which are two very important Parent-managed organizations that provide with training for Parents and social events for their children.
